DZ (Automatic) License Training

Get the skills & knowledge required to successfully complete

This 22 Hour program gives the student the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete all Ministry of Transportation requirements in order to achieve and hold an Ontario Class DZ License.
One-on-one In-truck training is provided on a D class vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission.

This Training Program meets all the requirements for those obtaining a DZ License for entrance into Fire/Rescue Services.

It is a 2-step process:

Air Brake Endorsement (Z)

  • Book into a 2-day Air Brake course. (This is a prerequisite for the Class D)
  • Course runs from 8:30am to 5:00pm both days.
  • We run them 2-3 times a month. We offer weekend and midweek dates.
  • A listing of Ontario Air Brake Endorsement dates is available on our Website under “upcoming Courses”

The cost for the Air Brake portion of the training is:  $425.00.

Class D Training:

  • For the Class D portion you will require an MTO Medical form be completed by a doctor. A Medical form can be found on our Website. Please be sure to print it one page two sided. Once completed take the form to any Drive Test Centre and complete the Class D Knowledge test.
  • Once that is done contact us so we can then book a road test date for you and schedule your training based on the date and time of your test.
  •  Class D Training:
  • – Automatic Transmission – 9 Hours training – plus use of the truck for road test.

The cost for the Class D Automatic portion of the training: $1750.00.
